Drain valve seals – including diaphragms and rubber bladders – are the most common wear items in a drain valve assembly. Replacing the seal is often more cost-effective than replacing the full valve, particularly where the valve body and motor are still functional.

Generation 5 diaphragm
The Generation 5 diaphragm is a 75mm rubber replacement part for the Generation 5 drain valve assembly. It replaces OEM part number 438002801 and is compatible with Electrolux ELS, Wascator and Wascomat Generation 5 drain valves.

Generation 6 and 7 diaphragm
The Generation 6 and 7 replacement diaphragm (Wascomat/Electrolux part 432250501) fits the 3-inch drain valve 432250201, used across Wascomat, Electrolux ELS, Wascator, Nyborg and Dubix commercial washing machines.

Signs of a worn diaphragm
The machine fails to drain fully, water drips from the drain outlet when the valve should be closed, or the valve makes unusual sounds during the drain cycle. Seal replacement will resolve these issues in most cases.
